Individual is responsible for overseeing the daily summer youth job readiness and employment activities for in-school youth, ages 14-18 years old. Provides guidance and support to Job Coaches and assists them in guiding and directing program participants in developing appropriate work habits to be successful in unsubsidized employment. Assists program participants in preparation for successful employment leading to self-sufficiency as well as assisting them with connections to local employers and/or educational programs. This is a seasonal contract position with no insurance benefits and varied hours – before and after program dates/times. Monday – Friday Program dates June 9, 2025 - July 18, 2025. Program hours 8:00 am – 12:00 pm. Will have administrative and preparation duties on a more limited basis ahead of program start date.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Under the direction of the agency Supervisor, oversees Job Coaches as they provide work readiness and work activities for their assigned work crews. Assists agency program staff in coordinating worksite schedules and Job Coach assignments. Works with agency Supervisor and program staff to develop appropriate and meaningful work readiness activities and assists in training Job Coaches in working with summer youth participants. Assists participants in gathering work documents, as needed.Assists program participants in navigating the OhioMeansJobs.com website. Travels between work sites providing assistance when needed.Serves as back-up coverage for Job Coach call-offs and scheduled time off. Directs and supervises daily activities of youth participants, as needed.Tracks and approves participant time records and enters participant data in system of record.Provides meaningful feedback and guidance on work performance. Works with Job Coaches to develop and implement work improvement plans for youth participants.Works in tandem with Job Coaches to assess youth participants’ skill mastery and ensure tracking for the OhioMeansJobs readiness graduation seal. Assists participants with coordinating public transportation to and from work sites, as needed. Attends and directs program training and program related meetings as scheduled.
