Overview
The Knox Regional Communications Center (KRCC) is currently looking for an eager, dedicated individual who is fully or partially certified in emergency response. Dispatchers handle requests for all law enforcement, fire and emergency medical services received via 9-1-1, telephone, intercom, and radio. Dispatchers frequently interact with people who are agitated and under stress, and must have the ability to remain calm. This is a 24/7 9-1-1 call center and requires availability for 12 hour shifts days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Schedule will be determined after training requirements have been met.

Qualifications

• Must have some level of certification in emergency response such as EMT or EMD.
• Minimum of two years of prior related work experience in emergency response; experience in call center operations or as a first responder is highly preferred.
• An understanding of communications and the nature of public safety.

Compensation/Benefits

• The hourly pay range is $27.70 - $35.19, pending experience. We factor in all related experience.
