Responsibilities
Under direct supervision receives and schedules request for messenger service, dispatches messengers and equipment, and keeps records of services rendered.
Schedule
- D/E/N; PRIMARY NIGHTS; WKNDS/HOLS
- Supervised by departmental supervisor.
- None. In the absence of supervisors, directs the activities of departmental support staff.
- Standard office equipment, paging system and related departmental equipment.
- Directs and guides the flow of work to the Transport Assistants by receiving and scheduling request for service and equipment.
- Dispatches equipment.
- Keeps dispatch board current for effective utilization of staff.
- Keeps records of services rendered. Informs Supervisor of related problems with service and equipment.
- Occasionally performs the duties of Transport Assistants.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- High School diploma and 6-9 months of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Requires the ability to deal with others effectively and courteously
