Responsibilities
Cleans equipment, utensils, pots and pans, and work areas including floors and walls, and handles supplies in a food service department.
Schedule
- D/E/N; WKNDS/HOLS; 9 MONTH POSITION
- Under immediate supervision of area supervisor.
- None.
- Dishwasher, Pot and Pan Washer, other cleaning supplies and equipment, materials handling equipment, and other related equipment.
- Picks up used dishes from counter areas and tables, etc. Prepares for washing by scraping and pre-rinsing and washes by machine, or by hand, silver, china, glasses and/or pots and pans.
- Performs general helper duties and assists in handling supplies and food as directed:
- Replenishes milk supply.
- Transports supplies, equipment, and materials, as directed.
- Picks up dishes, etc. from tables when necessary.
- Unpacks stock.
- May, on occasion, help serve on counter or perform other duties in food service area.
- Maintains prescribed sanitation standards performing duties such as:
- Cleans Machines and kitchen equipment.
- Washes floors and walls.
- May wax floors.
- May clean windows and do other general cleaning as directed.
- Performs other duties as directed.
- Requires the ability to work compatibly in a food service atmosphere.
- Requires the physical ability to stand and walk short distances most of the working day, and to reach for, lift, and carry various materials, and to perform light and heavy cleaning
