Description And Qualifications
The Camp Blackberry Supervisor is responsible for ensuring our youngest Blackberry guests have a fantastic experience in all of our youth offerings. This position oversees the programming and safety of the Camp Blackberry, Youth Blackberry Discovery, and Blackberry Art Programs as well as leading the Camp Blackberry Staff. The Camp Blackberry Supervisor will oversee the activities and staff in all aspects and ensuring the “camper” experience and guest expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Ensure Every Guest Everytime receives the utmost care and expectations are exceeded
Greet campers, parents and guests act as a liaison between the campers' Parents and Blackberry
Manage a working activity schedule for the year as needed
Reporting any issues or situations that need focus or coaching to the camp manager
Plan specific activities for the day-to-day operations
Create a curriculum for the year-to-year use of Camp Blackberry
Maintain a database of past, present, and future Camp BF Campers
Weekly inventory and restocking of supplies
Daily communication between departments with activity schedule and number of participating campers
Train, oversee, and schedule the Camp Counselors
Interact with/Oversee Groups of Children as large as 35 people
Liaison between the campers’ Parents and BF
Plan special event weekends/activities for Camp Blackberry
Plan and execute the Youth Blackberry Discovery Program
Coordinate meals with Food and Beverage departments
Coordinate with Marketing the promotion of Camp Blackberry and other programs
Ability to control young boys and girls without physical contact or force
Conduct Camp Sessions, Youth Classes, and Babysitting as required.
Assist with coverage of department needs in the absence of the Camp Manager
Working with all Blackberry Teams to further the guest experience.
Create an atmosphere for developing great morale and well-being at all times for guests and team
Maintain the Opera and Resort Suites database of past, present, and future guests
Support the Blackberry Mountain Camp team and assist as needed to further support a cohesive team dynamic
Must comply with all company policies and procedures.
Regular and consistent attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this position. Must be able to work well with other Team Members and Managers and interact with our guests.
EDUCATION And EXPERIENCE
Professional that has 3-5 years of experience in Elementary Education, Child Development or other related field. College Degree Preferred
CPR Certified and Life Guard Certified
Microsoft Outlook/Excel/Word
Language Skills
Ability to communicate well with guests and fellow staff
Must be able to handle guest problems and relate
Non-verbal communication skills important
Mathematical Skills
Understanding of basic math
REASONING ABILITY
Must be able to exercise judgment and make decisions based on job knowledge and awareness of company goals
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Be able to lift up to 50 LBS
