Job Description
KNS is seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to lead our AP operations and play a key role in our monthly close process. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, loves digging into data, and understands the critical impact of timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Oversee day-to-day AP operations including invoice processing/review, vendor payments, and expense reimbursements.
- Lead and execute all AP-related tasks for month-end close, including:
- Ensuring accurate accruals and cut-off procedures
- Preparing reconciliations and journal entries related to AP (CC, Accrued Liabilities, Prepaids etc)
- Collaborating closely with the GL team to meet close deadlines
- Review and reconcile AP aging reports; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
· Improve, develop and implement AP policies, procedures, and internal controls to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Manage vendor relationships and handle escalations as needed.
- Supervise and mentor AP staff, providing guidance and support on best practices.
- Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation for AP GLs as needed.
- Oversee the preparation and filing of 1099’s.
- Special projects as assigned
- Assist in Technical Accounting research
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in related field required
- 3-5 years of related accounting experience required; 1 years in leadership experience
- Public accounting experience a plus
- Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting close cycles.
- Strong accounting foundation
- Strong Microsoft Excel experience
- Experience with NetSuite accounting software a plus
- Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Proven record of meeting deadlines and accomplishing tasks
- Extremely detail-oriented, accurate and organized
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven track record for creating process efficiencies and solving problems
- Takes ownership and accountability of responsibilities
- ·Positive attitude, honest, reliable; team player both in attitude and actions
