Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Telemetry to join our team in Kankakee, IL, on a contract basis. This position requires a skilled professional to provide exceptional care to patients requiring continuous cardiac monitoring.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and interpret patients’ cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and communicate findings to the appropriate medical team.
- Educate patients and families about care plans, conditions, and next steps.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and observations.
- Adhere to all facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Current and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in Illinois.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a Telemetry unit.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (required).
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities effectively.
Contract Details
