KNZ Solutions is looking for a knowledgeable and proactive IT Technician to support our IT operations. In this role, you will assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, and support of our technology systems. You’ll play a key part in ensuring the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure while gaining hands-on experience with a variety of technologies. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of working independently as well as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to staff by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
- Assist with the setup, installation, and configuration of desktops, laptops, printers, and other
- Support the IT team in installing and updating software applications, ensuring systems are up to date
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, routers, and switches
- Manage helpdesk tickets, ensuring timely resolution or escalation of technical issues
- Maintain accurate documentation for equipment, software, and user support logs
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as updates, backups, and system checks
- Help ensure the security of IT systems by applying security patches and updates as directed
- Collaborate with other departments and users to provide IT solutions that meet their needs
- Support IT projects such as system upgrades, migrations, and new technology rollouts
- Currently pursuing or have completed an associate degree or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or equivalent are a plus but not required
- Equivalent practical experience in IT support or related areas will also be considered
- Proven experience in a similar IT support role or academic setting
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems (Windows and macOS), and
- Familiarity with network technologies, such as TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, routers, and switches
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility around peak business needs
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience with cloud services and virtualization platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware)
- Knowledge of cybersecurity principles, including virus protection, firewalls, and data privacy
- Experience in supporting remote or hybrid work environments
