What You'll Do
Koalafi is searching for an innovative Sr. Manager of Business Analysis to support our strategic agenda for improving the Customer and Merchant experience. This includes partnering closely with our Product, Marketing, Sales, and Risk teams to derive quantitative insights and drive revenue-maximizing strategies. In this role, you will operate in a player/coach model, in which you will perform direct hands-on analysis while also coaching and mentoring junior analysts to deliver high quality results while developing their skills.
As the lead for Customer & Merchant Analytics, you will be accountable for creating and executing a strategic agenda while managing a backlog of initiatives and projects that support partner business teams. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of relational data models and how to create key performance metrics. In this role, you will:

As the lead for Customer & Merchant Analytics, you will be accountable for creating and executing a strategic agenda while managing a backlog of initiatives and projects that support partner business teams. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of relational data models and how to create key performance metrics. In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with senior leaders to develop a strategic agenda that maximizes revenue generation, while providing data-driven insights and recommendations for improvements
- Lead projects and initiatives that deliver meaningful business outcomes
- Mentor and coach a small team of junior analysts, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
- Drive funnel optimization of various merchants, channels, and integrations
- Support direct-to-consumer and merchant-level marketing strategies, leading initiatives such as the creation of a marketing channel attribution framework
- Develop segmentation and/or response models that will be used to improve the effectiveness of our marketing strategies
- Partner closely with our data engineering team to develop robust and intuitive data models that will be used for analysis and reporting
- Design and deliver dashboards and reports that effectively convey information and insights to non-technical audiences
- Develop analytical frameworks and KPIs to monitor revenue performance, identify trends, and uncover opportunities for efficiency improvements
- Exhibit solid business judgment in making balanced decisions quickly
- Bachelor's degree required, in a quantitative field such as Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Business, or Engineering preferred
- 5 years of experience in an analyst, data science, or consulting role
- 3 years of experience managing/coaching more junior analysts
- Experience in consumer financing industry, such as: credit cards, personal loans, auto loans, BNPL, or similar field
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python for data analysis
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to create a strategic agenda and execute against it
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic entrepreneurial environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
