* This is a Temporary 6 Month Position *
Purpose:
Perform daily audits of billets processed and provide feedback to Forging Manager. Work with PCON to ensure inventory accuracy in QAD.
General Duties:
- Works to maintain correct inventory through physical inventory audits.
- Ensuring consistent basic quality standards and procedures.
- Requires constant physical activity throughout shift (except breaks and lunch) such as standing, walking, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying forging products weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Required to complete QAD transactions for Forging completed process.
- Interpret a variety of reports (QAD, shift reports, press ops sheet).
- Develop a working knowledge of the company's products and processes to ensure QAD accuracy.
- Recognize products in production with corresponding QAD part numbers.
- Maintains daily production and inventory reporting as required.
- Coordinate with forging line leadership to ensure QAD standards are followed to meet customer quality/demand.
- Communicate with Production Control team to correct any discrepancies in the system.
- Ability to keep an orderly work area and follow 6s standards.
- Other duties as assigned by the Forging Manager.
Skills:
- Working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
- Must be able to perform basic mathematical functions.
- Ability to multitask and work well with others.
- Sense of urgency and self-motivation; ability to work independently.
- Computer literacy with ability to learn new computer software programs.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
