Purpose: This position is responsible for day-to-day floor operations that include but not limited to ensuring all safety aspects of the job, machinery and operators are being met. The foreman will work closely with SV/Manager and have good grasp of departmental goals, targets, and plan as well as a good understanding of KAAP rules and policies. Will give direction of task to team as need to ensure safety, quality and production targets are met and in a timely manner. Also responsible for any new operator training that may be needed as well as any new direction given by SV or upper management. This position is typically a night shift position

General Duties:
- Gather information from previous shift via email, reports, or communication boards and lead pre shift meeting to provide important information to team
- Ensure that all members have appropriate PPE and that all equipment is safe to operate
- Ensure that all members are following KAAP rules, policies, SOP, Work Instructions, etc
- Assign jobs/task each shift to best support needed outcome for shift
- Do area walk thru prior to or early in shift to evaluate floor condition
- QAD entry and printing of required labels as needed
- Ensure that all daily check sheets, forms, production records, etc. are being filled out correctly and within any specified tolerances
- Assist at any operation when needed or be able to fill in in the case of absences or breaks (Melting, Casting, Machining areas)
- Inventory control
- Putting away any consumables received in
- Communication to team, support groups and upper management as needed
- Ensure that daily floor 5S and cleanliness is maintained thru out the shift
- Keep accurate daily info and send out detailed report at end of shift
- Minimize all downtime by monitoring and quick escalation
- Ensure that all training matrixes are up to date on all shifts
- Support any data entry for scrap or any other data entry that is required
- Weekly Consumables Inventory
