REQUIREMENTS
Education: High School diploma required; bachelor's degree preferred
Certifications/License: Formal problem-solving methodology is preferred
Experience: 3 years of relevant experience in die casting, machining, foundry or related manufacturing industry is preferred.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Lead continuous improvement efforts to reduce scrap, increase uptime, and decrease cycle time.
- Lead completion of root cause analysis for failures, assist in developing problem solving teams, and often champion corrective/preventive actions using formal methodologies (i.e. 8-D, Shainin, Six Sigma, Critical Thinking, 5-Why principles).
- Coach others in making decisions concerning casting and machining quality requirements and appropriate process parameter settings.
- Analyze productivity problems and collaborate with tooling, quality, and maintenance departments to drive sustainable corrective actions.
- Generate and maintain die casting machine setup file for new dies, replacement cavities, and all continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work with the Quality Department to respond to customer quality complaints and engineering changes.
- Work with Launch Team Champions to manage new program launches, which include proper process development, product design, testing, and corrective actions during launch process.
- Manage and update process information resulting from process changes (procedures, instructions, forms and training).
- Maintains regular and punctual attendance, in accordance with scheduled work hours, and overtime (OT) as assigned.
- Meets all physical and environmental requirements.
