Our Product Designer plays an important part on the American Products Engineering team. The Engineering Team works with the Customer, the Sales Team, and Production in designing equipment that solves complex challenges for our customers manufacturing needs. They are a pivotal role in our product design process and work to analyze new ways we can improve our current and future designs based on their extensive knowledge.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Designs communications enclosures that are specific to customer requirements using 3D modeling software.
- Updates current production designs to meet customer needs, in keeping with internal standards.
- Develops Bill of Material, customer drawings, manufacturing drawings and other related engineering documents.
- Devises and conducts design testing.
- Provides product and part design innovations resulting in improved quality and cost reductions.
- Performs other duties, as assigned.
