- Responsible for ensuring water leaving the water treatment facility meets the requirements set by local, state, and federal governments.
- Maintain treatment systems, overseeing operational maintenance and administrative records.
- Operate and maintain the treatment facility effectively, providing a safe working environment with proper safety equipment and tools for personnel.
- Provide scheduling, training and support of personnel.
- Analyze operational data to determine changes and improvements needed to accomplish objectives, ensuring wastewater samples are correctly collected and sent to the lab for permit compliance.
- Provide reports for local management, corporate office and government agencies as required.
- Assist Wastewater Operators in maintaining their operator's license, overseeing and maintaining the operation of equipment.
- All other relevant duties as required.
- Wastewater Certifications and Licenses per state regulations required.
- 3 years experience in a similar environment preferred.
- Experience and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing with all levels from hourly to upper management, as well as government officials.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Basic mechanical and electrical wiring skills.
