What are the responsibilities and job description for the Procurement Assistant position at Koch Foods?

Assist Product Procurement Manager with strategic sourcing process for all goods and services.

Support implementation of regional and global sourcing initiatives.

Develop and implement procedures for the operation of procurement activities.

Facilitate the development and implementation of complicated departmental and interdepartmental procurement transactions and projects.

Manage outsourced relationships to vendors as required.

Negotiate / renegotiate contracts for goods and services for indirect materials used in research and corporate activities.

Ensure adherence to quality, legal and financial requirements.

In response to management, scientific community and other service departments, provide advanced research and analysis of trends.

Support site initiatives.

Negotiate and manage key supplier relationships.

Develop and administer supplier performance management programs.

Perform other relevant duties as required.

HS Diploma.

Experience within manufacturing environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong technology and computer skills.

Organized with attention to detail.
