Molex is hiring a Materials Manager in our Naperville facility supporting our Printed Circuit Solutions team. This person will be responsible for leading a team to purchase and manage inventory related to support of electronic product manufacturing. This role is key to support the business unit’s procurement objectives.

What You Will Do In Your Role
- Anticipate and lead change. Build competitive environment that brings the greatest value to the business.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to establish aggressive cost estimates for materials within development projects that allow profitable business.
- Independently, or with sourcing team, identify qualified suppliers for standard and custom materials.
- Manage relationship with suppliers for mutual benefit.
- Establish material master and information record data, maintain in SAP system.
- Submit orders through SAP and other software packages with suppliers for items required per the MRP system.
- Procure materials requisitioned outside of MRP to support operations and development activities.
- Resolve quality and delivery issues with suppliers.
- Apply logic to adjust, within decision rights, buying quantities, frequency, and terms to best meet the objectives of the business.
- Resolve Accounts Payable, supplier terms, and delivery discrepancies as required to support manufacturing.
- Train and lead other buyer(s) within organization to support organizational objectives and professional development by leveraging Principled Based Management.
- Monitor and act upon key performance indicators to optimize inventory levels and meet performance expectations.
- Work with financial and management teams to execute strategy supporting profit and loss goals.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, purchasing, financial, and environmental policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree
- 5 years’ experience in sourcing, procurement, or other relevant supply chain role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in professional environment.
- Basic computer skills including Windows, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Experience with MRP systems and inventory control, SAP system experience preferred.
- Ability to negotiate and problem solve.
- Knowledge of supply chain management, including international sourcing.
- Financial modeling abilities to compare cost and value of sourcing options and how it relates to inventory value.
- Ability to analyze data to balance customer service level with inventory value.
- US citizenship or permanent US resident
