Film Finishing Diagrammer

Role Overview

Film Finishing is looking to hire a film Diagrammer. A diagrammer is the person who takes information from a sensitized wide roll of film and uses a computer program to map out the usage of the wide roll for the most efficient use of the film for the remainder of the finishing process.

As a Diagrammer you will:

• Diagram widerolls for multiple business units and provide back-up for other diagrammers
• Become proficient in SAP software including troubleshooting and deployment
• Be able to work with areas outside of Finishing such as Planning, Shipping, Film Sensitizing, etc.
• Be self-directed and plan/execute work in order to meet production needs in a timely manner
• Work to maintain flexibility to meet changing needs of the Film Finishing business
• Understand and help in inventory management, including assisting with Sarbanes-Oxley regulatory needs

Requirements:

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong basic math skills to determine the best diagramming pattern for rolls in order to minimize waste
• Working knowledge of the Film Finishing business
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Good working knowledge of Excel with the ability and desire to learn new functions
• An understanding of quality requirements of film
• Must have the ability to work well in fast paced and sometimes stressful situations
• Position requires walking, standing, and occasional lifting, carrying, pulling, pushing, and bending
• Occasionally will need to lift up to 40 pounds
