Job Summary:
Manages the department's staff and equipment resources to achieve company goals for employee, owner, and customer satisfaction.
Schedule:
Back Half Nights (BHN)
BHN: 7pm – 7am: Wednesday night, Thursday night, Friday night and e/o Saturday night
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff in the department.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles corrective actions and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or four to six years progressively responsible experience in a print bindery and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Desired Skills and Abilities:
- Familiar with Technique Operating system
- Understanding of printing concepts and terminology
Physical Requirements:
- Requires periods of sitting, standing, and walking
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
- Will be exposed to moving parts and moderate to loud noise levels.
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the facility
- Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
