Purpose:
This role is responsible for Supervising and performing procurement activities to acquire supplies, services, and construction through delivery orders and small purchase procedures. Requires knowledge of commercial supply sources and business practices related to sales, prices, discounts, units of measurement, deliveries, stocks, and shipments.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Procurement Planning:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to support company goals.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to forecast procurement needs.
Supplier Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability.
- Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Monitor supplier performance and implement improvement plans.
Negotiation and Contract Management:
- Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Oversee contract creation, management, and renewal.
- Resolve disputes with suppliers.
Procurement Operations Management:
- Oversee issuance and management of purchase orders.
- Coordinate inventory and logistics to ensure timely receipt of materials.
Budget and Cost Management:
- Develop and manage the procurement budget.
- Perform cost analysis and implement cost reduction strategies.
- Prepare financial reports on procurement expenditures.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure procurement activities comply with laws and company policies.
- Identify and mitigate procurement risks.
- Support internal and external audits.
Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead and manage the procurement team, providing training and performance evaluations.
- Support team members in pursuing relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPP).
Process Improvement:
- Identify and implement procurement process improvements.
- Utilize procurement software to streamline processes.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and finance to align procurement activities.
- Ensure effective communication regarding procurement status and issues.
Sustainability and Ethical Sourcing:
- Promote sustainable procurement practices.
- Ensure compliance with ethical sourcing practices.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
- 5-7 years of specialized experience in procurement.
- 3-5 years of management experience overseeing procurement teams.
- Proficiency with Google Workspace and ERP systems (e.g., Coins).
- Strong analytical and multi-tasking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
