Position Title :

Lead Technician Level 1

Reports to :

Director of Engineering / Facilities

Job Summary : The Lead Technician Level 1 will be responsible for the overall maintenance and operations of the Refrigeration and Kitchen equipment around property, managing projects and repairs.

Job Responsibilities and Standards :

Job Specifics

Manage and maintain all Refrigeration, Kitchen Equipment, Ice Machines, and AC.
Teach lower-level techs how to do PM's on all equipment.
Coordinate assignment of Work Order duties with the Office Manager.
Provide updates on staff performance and Work Order status at the end of your shift.
Create PM schedules for all equipment with Director of Engineering / Facilities.
Report all incidents to Director of Engineering / Facilities (to include positive and negative behavior).
Utilize ALICE for all work orders.
Contact sub-contractors and / or order parts for repairs as needed.
Consult with Director of Engineering / Facilities for support and advice (when needed) to ensure proper repair and replacement procedures are followed.
Advise Director of Engineering / Facilities of all tools and equipment needed by the Facilities Team to perform assigned duties correctly and safely.
Ensure all equipment is kept clean and well maintained, always.

Qualifications

Must have 5 years' facilities / engineering experience. Preferably in a hospitality setting.

Previous experience including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, and kitchen equipment.

Valid driver's license.

Excellent verbal communication skills and must be very customer service oriented.

Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment while meeting deadlines as directed.

Must be able to lift 30-60 pounds

Able to work under pressure

Able to work weekends and holidays

Must be able to stand, walk, climb ladders for extended periods of time

Must able to multi task, have excellent inter-personal skills

Must be able to speak and read English fluently.

Must Have EPA 608 certification

Customer Service Responsibility

Ensures that the club's customer service standards are maintained at an exceptional level.

Presents self in a professional manner including appearance, identification, and general communication and conduct at all times.

Makes a positive contribution to the work environment through presentation of positive attitude, demonstration of cooperation and teamwork, and constructive approach to daily events.

Listens effectively, responds to guests' requests in a friendly "can do" manner.

Safety

Demonstrates adherence to the club's safe practice procedures and makes recommendations to improve safety. Reports any unsafe work practice to Director or Engineering / Facilities.

Consistently utilizes proper body mechanics in performance of responsibilities, as evidenced by supervisor's observation and no injury to self or others due to improper work habits.

Follows proper reporting procedures when injured at work. Is aware of the location of material safety data sheets and refers to them when necessary.
