TEAM OVERVIEW
KKR’s KCS Credit Product Strategy team works exclusively with the firm’s credit platform to provide ongoing LP support including raising, marketing and structuring funds, as well as maintaining an ongoing dialogue with investors. The team collaborates with investment professionals and the deal teams to understand the current portfolio, deal pipeline and overall market dynamics. The team participates in fundraising activities and is also responsible for the diligence process, where a number of requests can be rather technical in nature and the volume and cadence can be quite heavy and involved. Other ad-hoc tasks for the KCS Product Strategy team include creating quarterly presentations, consistently updating marketing materials, and drafting communications on complex and nuanced topics to a wide range of audiences.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Credit Product Strategy Team (within KCS) is looking for a Senior Associate / Principal to be based in New York. This hire will work exclusively with the firm’s private credit platform on a range of activities including developing and structuring new funds, marketing / fundraising and investor relations. The successful candidate will focus on our asset-based finance product in particular and will be a high profile member of the team with both internal and external constituents as a source of information and insight about the firm, our product offerings, and the private credit markets.
The candidate will work closely with the investment professionals and deal teams to understand the current portfolio, deal pipeline and overall market dynamics and with finance/operations professionals to understand our funds’ financial positioning and performance. Some specific responsibilities will include creating and updating marketing materials and quarterly presentations, preparing ad-hoc portfolio analysis, drafting investor letters and responding to investor queries. The successful candidate will also participate in live fundraising for a variety of private credit product types across the institutional, insurance, and retail channels, and will be heavily involved in the highly technical diligence process with clients.
IDEAL EXPERIENCE
Qualified candidates will have spent 4-6 years at an asset management firm or an investment bank in a product management role or in another finance-related role with similar responsibilities. Ideal candidates will have been in a group that offers exposure to credit products and analysis.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partner with senior team members on structuring, raising, and maintaining funds
- Maintain an open dialogue with investors, and provide ongoing LP support

- Sales professionals to pursue new business opportunities and investor relations globally
