Job Overview:
We are seeking a Pastry Chef to join our culinary team.
Duties:
- Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to recipes
- Decorate pastries using various techniques such as icing, glazing, and piping
- Ensure the quality and presentation of all pastry items meet the standards
- Maintain inventory of pastry supplies and ingredients
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards in the kitchen
- Collaborate with the culinary team to develop new pastry recipes
Qualifications:
- Will train the right individual
- Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures, or ability to learn
- Familiarity with pastry production techniques and equipment, or ability to learn
- Strong attention to detail and creativity in cake decorating
- Excellent time management skills in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Culinary or pastry arts degree is a plus but not necessary
