Opportunity
Responsible for directing and administering Procurement Planning and Production Planning to meet company objectives and customer requirements.
Specific Responsibilities
- Manage exempt and non-exempt associates responsible for procurement planning and production scheduling for all Hattiesburg facilities to manufacture subassemblies, machining finished goods, and Engine Final Assembly lines.
- Monitor inventory levels to reach total inventory and inventory turn goals.
- Meet customer expectations of shipment dates and quantities to meet LOTIF goals.
- Establish schedules for on time delivery of internal and external parts to minimize assembly downtime.
- Establish order policies and stocking levels for raw materials and assembly components to optimize inventory levels and maintain up time in support of scheduled requirements.
- Establish and maintain the liaison with Supply Chain Manager responsible for SIOP to provide a smooth flow of information and schedule execution needs.
- Adjust engine, subassembly, and machining schedules for maximum efficiency consistent with customer needs.
- Communicate with Operations personnel in terms of shortages, parts status, and change to customer needs.
- Communicate with Quality personnel to minimize discrepant material issues.
- Coordinate all engineering changes to minimize obsolete inventory.
- Drive the development and sustainability of reduced cardboard at the assembly line through returnable dunnage for assembly line efficiency.
- Manage the Tag Control and Inventory Reconciliation activities for Annual physical Inventory.
- Develop a high impact Supply Chain team. Evaluate current staff and develop training plans to continuously improve Key Performance Indicators, team efficiency, cost reduction activities and plant output.
