What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Camp Support Teacher position at KOHLS?
When: June 16th - August 15th, with shifts varying upon the Summer Camp hours of operation from 7:30am to 5:30pm Monday-Thursday and 7:30am to 5:00pm on Fridays. *Extended care will be offered the weeks of August 18th and August 25th. Where: Kohl’s Family Center - W165 N5800 Ridgewood Drive Menomonee Falls, WI 53051 Details: Camp is open to children 5-10 years of age. Students will enjoy weekly field trips, in house activities, plentiful outside time, and teacher planned activities.

Summer Camp Support Teacher is a key member of the CDC team, responsible for:
Assist with implementing a defined learning environment for the education of children at the Kohl’s Summer Camp program
Providing daily care for the children in your age group/classroom
Ensuring the health and safety of the children enrolled when at camp and attending on-site or off-site field trips.
Assisting in the daily care of children in Summer Camp as outlined on your daily schedule, upholding/implementing curriculum set forth by the Primary Teachers, and following developmentally appropriate practices
Assuming the role of Primary Teacher when covering the classroom for lunch breaks, planning times, paid time off, closing, etc.
Maintaining safety, care, nurturance, and active/appropriate supervision of children in your care
Writing meaningful messages and reminders in brightwheel™ app to the parents.

QUALIFICATIONS
REQUIRED
- Intro to Child Care Profession (formerly EC1) certified or equivalent
- If hired, Drug Screen, Health Exam, Fingerprint Based Background Check and TB test required
PREFERRED
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
- Superior organizational and computer skills
- Curriculum development, lesson planning, and training experience
- Customer service experience
- First Aid and Infant/Child CPR with AED training
- Abusive Head Trauma Certified
- Child Abuse/Neglect Certified
- Regular attendance is key to performing the job
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to lift 40lbs
- Standing, sitting, squatting, bending, twisting, walking, and moving at a fast pace
- Flexibility within hours of operation
