Job Overview
Seeking Sr. Engineer to support the Cleveland Engineering Group is a fully competent professional who excels in both team collaboration and leadership. This role reports directly to the Engineering Manager and maintains a strong relationship with the Milwaukee Engineering team for technical support and workload management. The Sr. Engineer is responsible for independently evaluating problems and providing recommendations and solutions. They receive technical guidance on complex or unusual issues and require supervisory approval for proposed project plans. Proficiency with advanced engineering tools is essential.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Machine Design Expertise : Specialize in specific areas of machine design for surface mining products, with expertise in gearing, planetary transmissions, and structures.
- Project Management : Lead projects involving conventional engineering practices combined with computer-aided tools and programs.
- Design Coordination : Oversee design projects from inception to completion, including project definition, proposals, design reviews, analysis, validation, implementation, and verification.
- Operational Support : Provide engineering dispositions for material deviations and substitutions to support operations.
- Mentorship : Mentor and assist less experienced engineers and interns.
Qualifications / Requirements
Education :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) required.
Experience :
Minimum of 8 years in product engineering.
Skills :
High-level written and verbal communication skills.
SolidWorks
Professional Development :
Active participation in continuing education and professional development activities.
Additional Information
