Duties
- Supervise Extrusion Team producing plastic sheet materials for the graphics and building industries
- Applies knowledge of quality control, production processes, machine equipment operations and methods to ensure extrusion operations are conducted safely and efficiently
- Oversees individual and team training, operator maintenance, extrusion production, compound and material handling, product packaging equipment, forklift and lifting device operations
- Responsible for quality, safety, training and production
- Supports management concerns
- Responsible for cleanliness of the plant and the outside scrap area
Qualifications
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in manufacturing processes, particularly in plastics injection molding and extrusion
- Proficient in quality inspection and ensuring adherence to quality control standards
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers and CNC machinery
- Experience with hand tools, precision measuring instruments, and basic math skills
- Background in lean manufacturing and materials handling
- Ability to operate forklifts and press brake machines safely
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
