Duties
- Develop and maintain detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts and inventory levels.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between production capabilities and customer demands.
- Utilize systems such as SAP to track inventory management, demand planning, and production planning processes.
- Analyze historical data to forecast future demand and adjust schedules accordingly.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
- Monitor inventory control measures to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding schedule changes, production delays, or capacity issues.
- Continuously evaluate scheduling processes for improvements and implement best practices.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a scheduling or planning role within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management, demand planning, and production planning methodologies.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles is preferred.
- Proficiency in using ERP systems, particularly SAP, for scheduling and inventory control tasks.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to forecast and vaticinate trends based on data analysis.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
