KOMO Machine, Inc. is a subsidiary of the well-known multi-national corporation PMC Global Inc., Sun Valley, CA. KOMO designs and manufactures high quality precision computer numerically controlled (CNC) routers and machining centers.
We are seeking a Mechanic to become an integral part of our Lakewood, NJ team! Candidates with automotive, aviation, and general machinery maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply. This position will support the mechanical assembly of our CNC router and machining center product line on our climate controlled production floor. This position provides room expansion of skill set into other areas and room for advancement within the organization
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling mechanical components and systems according to specifications and blueprints. This role requires attention to detail, precision, and a strong understanding of mechanical assembly processes. The Mechanical Assembler will work closely with engineers and other team members to ensure high-quality production standards are met.
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical components and systems using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to complete assembly tasks accurately.
- Conduct quality checks on assembled products to ensure functionality and compliance with specifications.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for mechanical assembly.
- Competence in blueprint reading and understanding of schematics.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or other related fields
- Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment
- Ability to handle physical workload
- Ability to work well in teams
- Work from assembly documentation including exploded view drawings, checklists and schematics
