Position Overview:
The new Kozy boutique Hotel is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Night Auditor to join our team. This part-time overnight position is essential in ensuring the accuracy of daily financial records, providing exceptional guest service, and maintaining a secure and welcoming environment during the late-night hours.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reconciliation:
- Audit and reconcile daily financial transactions, including room charges, guest accounts, and other hotel revenue streams.
- Generate and distribute accurate end-of-day reports for management.
- Verify cash drawers and process adjustments as needed.
- Guest Services:
- Provide prompt and courteous service to overnight guests, including check-ins, check-outs, and addressing inquiries or concerns.
- Respond to late-night requests such as wake-up calls, reservations, or room service inquiries.
- Resolve guest complaints efficiently and professionally.
- Operational Duties:
- Ensure all hotel systems (front desk, reservations, and payment processing) are accurately updated and functional.
- Perform regular security checks of the premises and report any unusual activity.
- Coordinate with the maintenance team for any urgent repairs or issues.
- Compliance and Safety:
- Uphold the hotel's policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace at the front desk.
- Act as the emergency contact during the night shift and handle incidents per hotel protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in hospitality or accounting is a plus.
- Previous experience in hotel front desk operations or night auditing.
- Proficiency in using hotel management software (e.g., Opera, OnQ, or similar systems).
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Schedule:
- Part-Time, week-end nights required (can occasionally have additional shifts during the week if available).
- Overnight shifts typically run from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, including holidays.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods.
- Occasionally lift or carry items up to 25 lbs.
