What are the responsibilities and job description for the Systems Analyst position at Konark Software?
Konark Software is looking for an experienced Systems Analyst who can assess and analyze complex business requirements, user stories, and build system specifications related to new system development and revisions to existing systems. The technology platform is a combination of several custom and/or COTS products. This position is to support US Department of State project as a contractor and requires an active Secret Clearance. Top Secret is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Perform analysis and documentation of requirements and business processes.
- Review and document current systems functionality
- Identify and document gaps in systems capabilities in relation to business requirements
- Conduct interview sessions with business users, stakeholders, and SMEs to establish business and system requirements
- Establish functional design specifications and technical design specifications
- Analyze and document different IT systems that are supporting day to day workflow requirements and their data integration points
- Create business activity and process flow diagrams
- Document Business Rules, Data Flows , and Integration points
- Translate business requirements to system specifications
- Create test cases to support business requirements and verify system functionality
- Evaluate alternative products, solutions, and concepts to address business needs
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree with at least 8yrs experience or Master’s degree with 5yrs experience
- Must be able to maintain a Secret Security Clearance at a minimum
- Must have exceptional analytical and communication skills
- Experience in developing and maintaining Use Cases, User Stories, and Requirements Traceability Matrix
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work with all levels of business and technical personnel in a professional manner
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to understand current environment and become a key contributor to highly functioning business and technical teams
- Knowledgeable about databases and data storage along with programming tools
- Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools
- Familiar with federal government Cybersecurity and Risk Management Framework standards
