What are the responsibilities and job description for the Contract Associate (Fluent in Korean) position at KONEC?
OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE:
Contract Associate is responsible for all aspects of low to moderate complexity contract development and maintenance. This job is also responsible for analyzing existing contracts to ensure compliance with and adherence to the underlying terms and conditions. They work with leadership to establish the company’s goals and ensure each contract meets these objectives and conforms to legislative requirements.
PRINCIPAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Draft various types of contracts, amendments, and other documents, including reviewing client originated documents, to meet the needs of the company and its clients.
- Drive the document creation, review and execution process from start to finish, including establishing and managing agreed-upon timelines for multiple documents at one time.
- Conduct audits of current signed agreements to ensure accuracy and completeness which may also include identifying outlier language or nonstandard terms. Identify contractual language changes that can impact other areas of the company.
- Ensure adherence to policies and guidelines as well as standards of production and quality.
- Maintain contract database including the scanning and posting of contracts to shared website as well as creating and maintaining client legal folders. This includes providing appropriate redline documents, draft documents or fully executed copies to clients, internal departments and payors.
- Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate across disciplines and departments. Conduct meetings; create meeting notes and action items, as necessary.
- Assist departments with questions/issues related to contracts, including but not limited to, the interpretation of language.
- Research contractual questions/issues using multiple internal resources.
- Identify items for additional approval, secure and appropriate document approvals.
- Maintain, track and report on the status of contracts and amendments from creation through execution.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, privacy regulations, and fraud, waste and abuse regulations and requirements.
Abilities/Qualifications/Minimum Requirements:
- Bilingual is a must (English and Korean)
- Bachelor’s degree in law, English major, or relevant field.
- Demonstrate the company’s core competencies and values held within.
- Contract Associate works under general supervision in a self-directed and results oriented manner.
- This position works within established standards and procedures, relying on a broad range of knowledge gained through experience to complete job responsibilities.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret legal documents, financial reports, and technical documents.
- Ability to apply arithmetic concepts such as fractions, ratios, and proportions to real scenarios.
- Proficiency in common office applications.
- Good understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and occupational, safety and environmental regulations and law.
- Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, and Excel.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to meet highest attendance requirements.
- Communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and management, and the public.
