Job Overview:
Konecranes Nuclear Equip and Services LLC is seeking skilled professionals to join our team as experienced Overhead Crane Service Technicians. As a critical component of our operations, these technicians will thrive in a safety-first environment, troubleshooting complex electrical and mechanical issues on-site.
Main Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot and Repair: Conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes and hoists at customer locations, utilizing expertise in electrical and mechanical systems.
- On-Call Service: Provide after-hours support as part of a rotation, ensuring prompt response to customers' needs.
- Crane Operations: Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, structural, and electronic issues on-site, collaborating with clients and facility directors to meet service needs.
- Documentation and Communication: Document findings and recommend corrective actions, including safety notifications to customers, and consult with customers on repair and safety issues.
- Industry Knowledge: Stay updated on industry codes and regulations (OSHA, ANSI, CMAA, HMI), and complete service reports accurately and promptly.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma required; Associate degree in Industrial Electrical and/or Mechanical Technology or related field preferred.
- Experience: Minimum one year experience involving electrical troubleshooting and mechanical repair, with prior experience with cranes being beneficial but not necessary.
- Physical Demands: Must be able to frequently lift up to 25 lbs., with occasional lifting up to 50, 75, and 100 lbs. Must also be willing to work off the ground and travel occasionally.
Working Conditions:
- This position requires frequent climbing, balancing, stooping/crouching, and overhead reaching.
- Frequent exposure to heat, cold, noise, and heights.
