About the position
Our Off-Highway business segment is a leading supplier in designing and manufacturing mechatronic assemblies, pedals, steering columns, and mechanical cables for the agricultural, construction, Powersports, and outdoor power equipment markets. This segment is seeking Production planner/Customer Service Representative at our Willis, Texas, facility.
This position will serve as the primary interface with customers regarding order receipt and shipment and the production team to ensure production lines are building to support customer needs.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that manual customer orders are entered into SAP promptly with correct pricing, MOQ, and lead time.
- Maintain day-to-day communication with designated customers via telephone, email, and other methods.
- Attend material shortage meetings and daily production meetings.
- Monitor EDI orders to ensure they are loaded into SAP within the quoted lead times and Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs).
- Responsible for the creation and maintenance of material shortage reports.
- Enter and maintain part master data in SAP, ensuring accurate part setup so customer orders progress through MRP to drive supplier demand.
- Explore opportunities for improved planning efficiency.
- Release work orders daily to drive production and ensure production lines are kept running.
- Plan production based on customer demand by identifying material shortages and production constraints and resolving them quickly with minimal impact on production.
- Oversee current and future production orders, including forecasts, to ensure that production capacity is sufficient to meet customer needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Three to four years of experience in production planning.
- Proficient in Material Planning Systems (MRP).
- Experience or coursework related to manufacturing customer service and production planning.
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, with the ability to use advanced functions for data acquisition and analysis.
- Preferred experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Strong communication skills, effectively interacting with customers, local management, and operations personnel.

Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
