Required to work rotational shifts, including days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities:
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.
The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Kadiak, LLC is seeking a Utility Plant Shift Lead with a Top-Secret Clearance in Quantico, VA to ensure proper operation and maintenance of chillers, boilers, cooling towers, site buildings, associated equipment and electrical systems. Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain site-critical Engineering systems and equipment that supply the facility with heat, utility and conditioned power, ventilation, air conditioning and other environmental and critical systems in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, industry best practices, and manufacturers specifications.
- Supervises and lead assigned personnel, maintaining a safe and efficient workplace.
- Support PM with the engineering systems, drawings and equipment, including boilers, chillers, HVAC equipment, electrical distribution systems, generators, UPS systems, etc.
- Monitor and control building equipment; operate facility’s BAS.
- Make periodic inspections of all Engineering systems and equipment and monitoring equipment operations and maintain equipment operating logs.
- Proficiently use test equipment and devices pertinent to building operating systems and analyze test results.
- Record and report all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences. Respond to emergency situations and perform all tasks necessary for the protection of occupants and property.
- Under minimal supervision, perform maintenance on mission critical environment maintenance activities.
- Operate and maintain critical systems such as HVAC, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), generators, building automated systems, and utility systems.
- Lifting and physical exertion required.
- Perform other related duties as requested.
- A minimum of 7 years of progressive and hands-on experience in an environment of similar proportions and mission as the assigned area of responsibility.
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in facilities maintenance with thorough understanding of electrical systems, controls, generators, and life safety systems, including 5 years related experience in data center or complex mission critical environments.
- Ability to organize and prioritize workload with minimal supervision.
- Must possess an active HVAC Journeyman or Second Grade Stationary Engineers License in Virginia, Maryland or the District of Columbia.
- EPA - CFC Universal Certification.
- Top-Secret security clearance
