Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Controller to join our team at Konkus Corporation. This role is pivotal in overseeing our financial operations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. The Controller will play a key role in supporting our mission of delivering exceptional construction services while maintaining financial integrity.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of financial management including accounts receivable, general ledger reconciliation, and corporate accounting.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports in compliance with GAAP standards.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Manage the budgeting process and monitor expenditures against budget.
- Ensure accurate double-entry bookkeeping practices are followed across the organization.
- Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.
- Supervise the accounting team and provide training on best practices in financial management.
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks for efficient financial operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
- Proven experience as a Controller or similar role within the construction industry is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles and corporate accounting practices.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and reporting tools; experience with Sage or QuickBooks is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines.
- Strong leadership skills with experience supervising an accounting team.
