Job Title : Ocean Freight Forwarding - Sales Manager

Location : Dallas, TX

Compensation : $90,000 - $140,000 annually Lucrative Sales Commission Program

Employment Type : Direct Hire

Schedule : Monday - Friday (Onsite)

Our client is a logistics and supply chain company that operates globally, including in California. They specialize in international freight services, supply chain management, and providing end-to-end logistics solutions. They have a presence in major logistics hubs, including Los Angeles.

Position Overview : The Ocean Freight Forwarding - Sales Manager is responsible for driving sales growth, developing key client relationships, and building a high-performing sales team within the ocean freight forwarding sector. This individual will serve as a strategic leader, aligning sales processes with business goals, and ensuring the sales team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to succeed.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the Trans-Pacific trade.
  • Build, lead, and manage a team of sales professionals, setting performance goals and providing coaching.
  • Manage sales pipeline reviews, quota attainment, lead generation, and account assignments.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior leadership.
  • Drive customer acquisition and retention through strategic relationship management and solution-oriented sales approaches.
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including Operations and Finance, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Facilitate successful onboarding of new customers, including SOP finalization and customer code setup.
  • Ensure accurate and competitive pricing through market analysis and carrier negotiations.
  • Represent the company at industry events and trade shows to strengthen brand presence and generate leads.
  • Uphold company values and business ethics in all professional interactions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support business objectives.

Qualifications :

  • Minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the Trans-Pacific trade, preferably in NVOCC, Freight Forwarding, or Supply Chain.
  • At least 3-5 years of managerial experience leading a sales team.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong understanding of ocean freight forwarding processes, documentation, and carrier pricing.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
  • Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
  • Additional Information :

  • This is a 100% onsite position based in Los Angeles, CA.
  • Candidates must be comfortable working in an in-office environment Monday through Friday.
