Job Summary
We are seeking a Facilities Maintenance Assistant to support facility operations, including electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry work required for installing and repairing equipment. This role plays a vital part in ensuring that the facility is properly maintained and continuously improved to meet business needs.
The ideal candidate will have experience troubleshooting and maintaining equipment, managing preventative maintenance schedules, and ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, replacement, and repair of equipment as needed.
- Conduct facility maintenance and renovations to uphold operational efficiency.
- Follow work priorities established by the Facilities Maintenance Manager .
- Coordinate and oversee specialized outside maintenance services as necessary.
- Provide technical guidance and support on assigned projects.
- Estimate time and costs for maintenance tasks and facility improvements.
- Source and purchase necessary replacement and spare parts for facility upkeep.
- Conduct regular facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and clean work environment.
- Participate in quality, safety, and production meetings as required.
- Stay open and receptive to new ideas, programs, and process changes.
- Demonstrate initiative in knowledge development and take on additional responsibilities when needed.
- Adhere to company policies and safety regulations at all times.
