Role Summary
The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) / Lead Engineer will oversee all technical aspects of developing Koobz’s proprietary manufacturing process and technologies. This role will set the technical strategy, build and lead the engineering team, and drive the company’s journey from R&D to pilot production.
Key Responsibilities
Systems Integration : Overseeing the interplay of 3D printing, 3D knitting, robotics, and machine vision technologies.
Technology Roadmap : Building a near- and long-term R&D plan that captures innovation in materials science, hardware / software integration, and automation.
Strategic Partnerships : Collaborating with external companies (e.g., equipment manufacturers, universities, materials suppliers) to drive innovation.
Ideal Background
Expertise in Advanced Manufacturing : Extensive experience in advanced manufacturing technologies, including 3D printing, adaptive molding, or similar processes from hardware-intensive industries (e.g., electronics, automotive, aerospace).
Educational Background : Degree in mechanical engineering, materials science, industrial design engineering, or equivalent experience.
Leadership Experience : Strong track record of managing and leading multi-disciplinary engineering teams through the full product lifecycle—from prototype to production.
Technical Mastery : Deep knowledge of digital manufacturing workflows, including CAD / CAM, IoT, machine vision, and materials science.
