Child Care Services Coordinator

Position Summary
Coordinates functions within Kootenai Kids Childhood Development Center. Assists the manager in program planning through administering applicable resources and ensuring that operations meet state and local regulatory requirements. Provides a safe, caring, and efficient learning environment for children.
Responsibilities
Provides care and maintains a safe environment for all children in the facility
Assists the manager with staffing, Kronos, and performance appraisals and participates in 2nd level coaching and/or disciplinary actions with the manager and People Services
Maintains infection control within the facility, adhering to state and organization policy and procedures
Coordinates facility supply and food orders
Oversees opening and/or closing procedures for the facility, ensuring facility is secure and alarms are activated as appropriate
Coordinates facility waitlist, organizes annual school roster, and communicates with families regarding process
Manages student registration processes, including door code assignment, schedules, fingerprinting, and contact information
Coordinates facility activities, including but not limited to student portfolios and scrapbooks, picture day, and holiday activities
Supports conversations and communications with parents, escalating as required
Supports facility audits and inspections, serving as a lead as needed
Fosters and drives team engagement and communication through support of organization/department initiatives
Performs duties of Child Care Teacher as needed or assigned
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications
Associate's degree in related field or equivalent education/related experience required
Minimum 5 years' experience in related field required
Teacher/Care Provider license issued by the City of Coeur d' Alene within 10 days of hire
Idaho Stars program/PDS certified
CPR/AED/First Aid for the Adult, Child and Infant required
Working Conditions
Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs
Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
Typical equipment used in a clinical job
Must be able to bend, and stoop or crouch
