Job Overview
Koppers Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to lead our laboratory team in ensuring the highest quality products meet regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement quality initiatives and projects, including those related to raw materials, in-process samples, and final products.
• Oversee laboratory analytical data generation to meet cGMP, GDP, and data integrity standards.
• Develop and maintain quality metrics for production optimization and troubleshooting purposes.
• Investigate and resolve Out of Specification and failure investigations, providing key findings to upper management.
• Provide technical support and guidance on new commercialized manufactured products.
• Manage equipment service agreements and develop operational laboratory budgets.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or engineering; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum three years of experience in an inorganic and/or analytical chemistry laboratory environment, preferably with ISO Management systems knowledge.
• Expertise in ICP, HPLC, XRF, and Particle Size Analysis/Characterization instrumentation.
• Strong ability to troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and proficiency in Statistical Process Control regarding laboratory analyses.
• Excellent planning, analytical, and communication skills, with a self-starter and problem-solving mindset.
• Organized with the ability to maintain accurate records and proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
