Job Description
We are looking for a talented Executive Director to lead our team at the Korean Cultural Center of Chicago. As the chief executive officer, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's operations and strategy. This includes managing staff and volunteers, driving innovative initiatives, and collaborating with the Board of Directors to shape and execute a strategic vision.
Your key responsibilities will include:
• Leadership & Staff Management: Recruit, supervise, and support staff, volunteers, and contractors while fostering a culture of collaboration and professional growth.
• Operational Oversight: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations, regulatory compliance, and accurate organizational records.
• Board Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison to the Board of Directors, facilitating meetings and advancing strategic objectives.
• Financial Stewardship: Partner with the Treasurer and Finance Committee to manage budgets, oversee financial processes, and ensure fiscal health, including audits.
• Fundraising & Partnerships: Lead development efforts, including donor cultivation, major gift solicitation, and strategic partnership building.
• Program Development: Oversee and guide impactful programs in collaboration with Program Directors to serve our community.
• Marketing & Communications: Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy to enhance visibility and engagement.
• Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with community members, stakeholders, and partners to promote cultural understanding and involvement.
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in a relevant field, advanced degree preferred. Experience working with the Korean American community is highly desirable, and bilingual proficiency in Korean is a plus.
