Education/Experience/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field preferred
- At least one year of human resource management experience
- Compliance with drug and background screenings requirements
Description of Duties
Recruitment
- Create/update job opening information
- Evaluate applicants based on recruitment needs and deliver qualified candidates’ information to Human Resource Manager
- Research and evaluate local career fairs to determine participation; prepare for and attend fairs
New employee onboarding
- Schedule field new hire orientations and communicate with candidates
- ·Process new hire paperwork and pre-hire screenings
- Administer new employee onboarding process
Benefits
- Manage health insurance plans including enrollments, changes, and terminations
- Handle benefit-related inquiries from staff and direct accordingly
- Administer life insurance plan
- Maintenance of ESOP participants; distribute enrollment and beneficiary paperwork
Administrative
- Complete employment verifications
- Prepare weekly timesheet for hourly employees; monitor and track PTO, remote, and bereavement work days and jury duty pay
- Review requests for parental leave and FMLA
- Update and maintain employee handbook
Miscellaneous
- Create and implement new employee/company policies
- Research and maintain knowledge of competitive incentives, employee offerings, and benefits to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent
- Manage drug screen compliance, motor vehicle record, and background screenings
- Maintenance and compliance of record-keeping and personnel file requirements
- Complete offboarding for separated employees
