Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will run the daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including oversight of hiring process, administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices while maintaining Palko’s core values.
Duties/Responsibilities:
· Payroll and benefits administration
· Oversee talent acquisition and hiring process
· Develop and oversee onboarding, training, and CPE programs
· Developing clear policies and ensuring policy awareness
· Assisting with the performance management and review process
· Manage staff succession planning
· Carrying out necessary administrative functions
· Maintain employee files
· Maintain company culture
· Maintain employee and workplace privacy
· Perform other job-related functions deemed necessary for the success of the business.
Required Skills/Abilities:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office
· Experience in coaching and educating staff
· Organized and Efficient with excellent time management skills.
· Strong ability to manage multiple tasks and problem solve.
· Ability to be a team player and self-starter.
· Honest and a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
· Experience in conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and workplace investigations.
· Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
· Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office required; experience with Paycor/Perform a plus
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business or equivalent
· At least 3 years human resource experience
Physical Requirements:
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
· Able to travel as needed.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
