Position Mission Statement
To demonstrate a servant’s heart to KFG’s clients and the firm by providing timely, considerate, and professional service. To build trust with retirement plan clients and team members and add referable value in KFG’s relationship with its retirement plan clients.
Responsibilities and Tasks
- Expand Trust for Plan Participants
- Facilitate Enrollment Meetings
- Facilitate and present at employee education sessions
- Educate, advise, and serve retirement plan, ICHRA, and health insurance clients of the firm
- Keep up to date on Department of Labor, ERISA and FINRA rules and regulations.
- Create and maintain model portfolios for the retirement plans that we manage.
- Assist in plan implementation process for new and takeover retirement plan and group health prospects.
- Assist in developing and updating the processes and procedures for the Retirement Plans and Life and Health Department
- Quarterly Fund Monitoring
- Keep up to date on Fi360 skills and tools.
- Assist terminated employees in moving their money out of the sponsor’s plan.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Series 65 required.
- Life and Health license required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Significant computer and software training or experience (i.e., Microsoft Office, CRM Software, fi360, eMoney and Morningstar)
- Above average math skills and analytical abilities
- Must be well organized with time, resources, physical office space, and client documents/information, detail oriented, and be able to manage a large workload.
- Must be a team player and able to collaborate with team members and financial professionals from other firms.
- Comfortable interacting with clients via telephone, email, video conferencing, or face-to-face
- Must be coachable, goal oriented, grasp concepts quickly, able to work in a fast-paced environment, embrace change, and have a strong desire to learn and grow in the financial services industry.
- Must have a desire to pursue professional development, licenses, and designations.
- AIF® designation (Accredited Investment Fiduciary)
- CRPS (Chartered Retirement Plans Specialist) to provide additional expertise and understanding of the financial industry.
- CFP (Certified Financial Planner) may be pursued.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Two to three years of financial industry experience preferred required.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- May have to lift 15 pounds at times.
