About this role :
Our client is seeking a Senior Emerging Middle Market / Middle Market Business Development Officer in Houston to increase momentum and drive growth with a focused effort exclusively on sourcing new relationships.
In this role, you will :
- Prospect companies in the EMM / MM areas and remain engaged until prospects are successfully converted to customers
- Target establishing complete C&I relationships that are comprised of commercial lending, treasury management, deposit and other credit solutions
- Partner with Commercial Relationship Managers to cross sell appropriate products and services, prioritize prospects, develop pursuit strategy, create proposals, manage new customer acquisitions, and onboarding process for customers
- Increase the Commercial Bank's relevance to prospective customers and product partners for new business opportunities through consistent marketing efforts and delivery of value added ideas
- Participate in initiatives and deliverables within Commercial Banking Business Development functional area
- Meet business objectives while leveraging solid understanding of functional area operations, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements with an emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation
- Collaborate and consult with Commercial Banking Business Development peers, colleagues, and middle level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
