Our client is seeking an experienced Financial Systems Functional Administrator to join their growing organization. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience supporting Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Time Collection (T&E), SAP Concur, & Cognos BI and Costpoint Materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Deltek Costpoint, Deltek Time Collection (T&E), SAP Concur, & Cognos BI and Costpoint Materials.
- Act as functional SME for all Costpoint modules, such as: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, project setup, cost revenue, MRP, billing, employee, labor, personnel, fixed assets, procurement, etc...
- Maintain a working knowledge of the front-end application screens, functions, and job processing and how they relate to the database tables and other applications, functions, and processes.
- Provide support to Finance, Accounting, Procurement, HR & Payroll teams.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including requirements, specifications, process flows and procedures and provide expertise and assistance to ensure all processes are designed to meet audit and security practices.
- Lead the evaluation, escalation, and resolution of defects with the Costpoint and T&E vendor (Deltek)
- Evaluate scenarios, and work with user community to devise and execute various test plans including unit, system, regression, UAT and integration
- Configure and maintain Costpoint System Admin Module
- Maintain underlying knowledge of Costpoint and Deltek T&E databases and concepts – ERD, working/temp tables, etc. for version 8.1 and above.
- Develop and/or assist with SOPs and deliver training in any of the major Costpoint modules.
- Manage user setup, user security (in regard to segregation of duties rules), printing, content management, job management, and workflow development/maintenance for Deltek systems.
Basic Qualifications
- 5-8 years of hands-on experience in Deltek support and Technical administration required.
- Ability to research, determine relevance, organize and formulate recommendations involving complex financial information and systems pertaining to Costpoint
- Advanced Excel skills a must as well as proficiency with MS Office
- Proven partnering with multiple internal departments to include strong background in supporting cross-functional teams
- Ability to contribute to a professional work environment by demonstrating integrity, promoting teamwork, and fostering positive communications
- Ability to work in a deadline-oriented environment is essential
- Ability to adapt to changing work efforts, manages the impact of shifting priorities, and resolve technical/functional emergencies as they occur.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with Cognos BI a plus
- Understanding Microsoft SQL language along with the ability to write SQL coding a plus.
- Experience assisting with Financial/IT system audits.
- Ability to articulate financial information and policies to the organization.
- Proven experience in analyzing financial data as well as financial reporting and forecasting is a plus.
Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is desired.
