IAM Solutions Architect - Entra ID

Job Title: Interim IAM Solutions Architect (Entra ID Focus) Comp $75 - $87hr BOE
Location: 100% Remote (with potential travel 2-3 times)
Duration: 9 Months


Position Overview:
Purpose of Role: The IAM Solutions Architect will be responsible for automating the user lifecycle processes (group memberships, distribution lists, onboarding, offboarding, identity governance) using Entra ID. The role involves setting up and managing secured privileged access, ensuring compliance, and optimizing identity governance.
Key Responsibilities:

• Automate User Lifecycle: Streamline and automate user lifecycle processes including group memberships, distribution lists, onboarding, offboarding, and identity governance using Entra ID.
• Identity Governance (IGA): Implement and manage Entra Identity Governance to secure user identities and access across the organization, ensuring proper access and compliance.
• Privileged Access Management (PAM): Secure privileged accounts with elevated permissions using measures like credential vaulting and session monitoring to prevent misuse.
• Privileged Identity Management (PIM): Utilize Entra ID's PIM feature to limit standing administrator access to privileged roles, discover who has access, and review privileged access.
• Migration: Oversee the migration from Okta to Entra ID, ensuring completion by May 31.
• Configuration Management: Use Terraform for configurations and provide recommendations to improve the process.
• Syncing Support: Provide support for syncing across on-prem Active Directory (A/D).
• Workflow Optimization: Optimize the workflow to transition from Workday to Entra ID.

Must Haves:

• Deep Understanding of Entra ID: Extensive knowledge of Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) and its capabilities beyond Active Directory.
• Microsoft Infrastructure/IT Operations Background: Strong background in Microsoft infrastructure and IT operations.
• Consultative and Hands-On: Ability to provide high-level recommendations and support architecture while being hands-on and tactical.
• Automation Experience: Proven experience in setting up automation with IGA, PIM, and PAM. Ability to provide specifics on what, why, and how.
• Professional Communication: Excellent professional communication and presentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with SaaS Product Companies: Previous experience working with SaaS product companies.
• Terraform Expertise: Proficiency in using Terraform for configuration management.
• Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills to oversee the migration and automation processes.
