Korn Ferry has partnered with our client on their search for the role, Inventory Control Manager.
Job Summary:
The Inventory Control Manager is responsible for all aspects of inventory management within the Tampa warehouse. The role involves ensuring accurate inventory records, optimizing inventory bin locations, managing the cycle count process, and implementing efficient processes to support the operations.
Responsibilities:
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management system WMS. Monitor inventory levels and ensure adequate stock to meet customer demands.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize discrepancies and shrinkage.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement inventory control procedures to streamline operations. Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies in inventory management.
- Scrap Material Management: Manage the process of properly categorizing and disposing of obsolete, damaged and scrap inventory with respective vendors / suppliers. Manage internal team regarding processing and proper categorization of designated material.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and train inventory control staff to maintain high standards of performance. Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the inventory control team.
- Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and trends. Conduct data analysis to identify inventory optimization opportunities. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on inventory data analysis.
- Provide support for other warehouse operations as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or related field preferred.
- 5 years’ previous experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related field preferred.
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and develop a team.
- Experience in using warehouse management systems and other inventory control software.
- NetSuite experience a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capability to work independently.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work in an office & warehouse environment.
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment with varying temperatures and humidity levels.
- Flexibility to work extended hours or weekends as needed.
- The ability to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and lift objects weighing up to 80 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
