Kornegay Engineering, inc. is a structural engineering firm located in Macon and Augusta, Ga. We serve a wide range of clients in sectors that include government, industrial, educational, water and wastewater treatment, commercial, and construction engineering. Our extensive experience allows us to serve much of the southeast in various structural engineering markets. Our projects range in size up to large scale projects with a construction budget of $40 million . We are currently seeking a full time Structural Engineer for our Augusta or Macon offices. Job duties will be based on experience to include managing various structural engineering projects under the supervision of a Principal Engineer. Project responsibilities may include:
- Leading the structural design team to develop a set of construction documents to meet the client’s needs and objectives
- Structural analysis and design of structures utilizing multiple materials including concrete, steel, masonry, and wood construction.
- Routinely complete physical building assessments, construction administration, or field observations to determine existing structural conditions
- Provide solutions, design repairs, or develop written reports as the project requires based on field assessments and observations
- Coordinate with clients to provide unique value for each project
Required and preferred qualifications include:
- 6 years of experience in structural engineering for multiple sectors is desired
- BS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures is required
- MS in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structures is desired
- Professional Engineer and/or Structural Engineer license is preferred
- Experience developing project proposals, schedules, and scope of work is a plus
- Experience with Risa 3D, AutoCAD, Revit and other computer aided engineering software is a plus
- Good English communication, written and oral, skills is a must
- Experience in Microsoft office
- Capable of working independently with the ability to provide solutions to problems with limited guidance
- Legally authorized to work permanently in the United States without work sponsorship or restrictions
Salary and benefits are competitive and will be set based on experience.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
