Anesthesiologist Opportunity
Korzen Health is partnering with a healthcare network in Northern Arizona to fill an Anesthesiologist position at Verde Valley Medical Center.
About Us
We are a team of 5 physician anesthesiologists and 6 Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs) working together in a medical direction model. Our department is led by physicians within a physician-led hospital system, enabling us to contribute to hospital leadership and committees. This structure fosters a positive practice environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care.
Types of Cases
We handle cases in 4-5 main operating rooms (ORs), 1-2 endoscopy suites, and a catheterization laboratory. Our focus is primarily on outpatient elective surgeries, including general surgery, gastrointestinal procedures, orthopedic surgeries, breast surgery, gynecology, and urology. We occasionally perform regional anesthesia but do not specialize in pediatric care.
Work Schedule and Call Requirements
This is a shift-based role, requiring 15 shifts per month. Shifts typically last between 8-12 hours and often conclude early. On weekdays, three physicians work varying shifts, with the shortest day shift ending before noon and the longest lasting until 5 pm. We require 18 calls per quarter, averaging one call night per week and one call weekend per month.
Extra Work Opportunities
You can take additional shifts, but it is not mandatory. Extra shifts pay your hourly rate multiplied by 12 hours, plus a $500 stipend.
